Irie Echos was established in February 2025, when Aaron Moats responded to Dan Durrant's post on a local Facebook group, looking for musicians to start a reggae group. They both got together weekly for a couple months, trying out other musicians.

After some further searching, Dan stumbled across a post from Josh Cantwell on another Facebook musician's group. After the first jam with Josh, Dan and Aaron knew it was a good fit.

Aaron and Dan met Noah Sugarman at a reggae jam in downtown Loveland, CO. After a couple weeks they finally setup a jam with Noah. Needless to say, the vibes were good and decided to ask him to join the group.

The guys then decided that a horn section would bring some tasteful elements. Noah suggested his friend, Matt Becker. Which both had played in various bands together through the years. After a jam, they knew the added flavor Matt brought to the table felt right.
